Arlene is the founder and head of Sentro, an organization that promotes Filipino culture, heritage and the Filipino language among the Fil-Austrian youth. As a Filipino-born herself who has been living in Austria for decades, she is at the forefront of teaching the 2nd and 3rd generations of the Filipino diaspora the importance of embracing our roots while living our present realities.

This workshop is an attempt to bridge the gap of Filipino children being born and raised in Austria who haven’t had the opportunity to learn the Tagalog language. The goal is to preserve the language as part of the Filipino culture, through simple Tagalog conversations. Take part in this workshop and learn to speak one of the interesting languages in the world.
