VHS GROSSFELDSIEDLUNG

This 2022, KUBŌ premieres the first multi-day event to celebrate, discover, and understand what being Filipino means for the young creatives of the diaspora. It aims to provide a space to come together as a community of friends, seekers and curious spectators to celebrate Filipino culture through dialogue, creative collaboration, artistic expression and meaningful discovery as a global Pinoy family.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE FESTIVAL?

ART▪︎SINING

Often a unique expression of self and circumstance but for many of us young creatives in the diaspora, it’s also a commentary on our struggles of belonging and acceptance.

WHAT IS KUBŌ?

A gathering of minds, talents, and hearts united with a desire to create a safe space to discover, examine, and celebrate being Filipino, in the diaspora, through creative expression. Named after the filipino traditional hut, KUBŌ seeks to lend a platform, a podium, and a space for collaboration, partnership and a salo-salo between organizations, communities, leaders, friends, seekers and curious spectators of the filipino culture in austria and beyond.

KUBŌ is a community founded, in Vienna, Austria, by Sentro and young Filipino-Austrians seeking to build a bridge between their roots and their home country, through the power of arts & culture.
